Circle Design Consultants is a collection of design and assessment professionals with a diverse range of skills and experience in all aspects of Landscape Architecture.
Core Team
Our core team includes the following members of staff.
Sitara has a broad range of experience with over twenty years experience both private and public sectors in the UK, and abroad. Before setting up Circle Design Consultants, Sitara worked with a number of environmental consultancies including ASH and RPS as Associate Director.
Recently Sitara has undertaken numerous landscape and visual impact assessments for onshore windfarm developments in the UK. She has also provided LVIAs for proposed power lines, waste treatment plants, sand and gravel quarries and hydro-electric power schemes.
Sitara also has extensive experience in masterplanning, detailed design and contract administration. Design projects have included restoration schemes for landfill sites; landscape design of the grounds for the Scottish Fire Services College and preparation of landscape input to numerous planning applications for retail developments.
In addition, Sitara has experience of giving evidence as an expert witness at Public Inquiry.
Matthew’s expertise lies in 3-dimensional representation of onshore wind farms for LVIAs. He has worked in the renewable energy industry since 2005, primarily focusing on onshore wind farm development.
He is well versed in the EIA process and has experience of managing EIAs for wind farm projects. Matthew has worked closely with numerous landscape architects and consultants on a variety of projects from small to large scale wind developments. Projects have ranged from 2 to 62 turbines onshore wind developments and his 3D work has been successfully used as evidence at Public Local Inquiry.
Samuel has over 4 years of experience working in landscape architecture within the private sector. He studied Landscape Architecture at the Edinburgh College of Art graduating with an MA(hons) and is actively involved on the ‘Pathway to Chartership’. Samuel has been involved in a number of large scale, high profile masterplanning projects across Scotland and England, assisting in the masterplanning process, the production of LVIAs and the public consultation process. He is also adept at producing high quality hard and soft landscape design, and was previously involved in the detail design for a scheme in the Scottish Borders which received a Commendation in the ‘New Build, 5+ Units’ category at the Scottish Borders Council Design Award Scheme 2009.
Matt has been working in the private sector since graduating with his master of arts in landscape architect from Edinburgh College of Art in 2007. Since then Matt has had experience of a range of landscape architecture work, including onshore wind farm assessment and graphic production; masterplanning and detailed design for housing projects, and interpretive design for environmental improvement projects. Matt is particularly talented in preparing high quality graphic visualisations. He brings creative flare and problem solving ability to all his work. He currently on his ‘Pathway to Chartership’.
